Negotiations are now In progress for securing a competent Secretary for the Albemarle Agricultural Fair to be held here next fall. The direc tors at a meeting yesterday after noon decided to have an expert here to attend to the work of laying of a standard half mile race track on the fair grounds. In a recent meeting the directors decided to purchase the Markham tract lor the fair grounds. The price was. 4.000.00. In the purchase of this tract the directors actd on the advice of Alfred Cheney, track ex prt who came here to look over the various sites offered for the Fair grounds. The Markham tract adjoins the State Normal property, the Barum property and the Blades property. It can be approached by Euclid Heights Southern Ave and Riverside Drive. Another meeting wil be held Mon day night at eight o'clock in the of-1 flee of T J Markham. Very Important matters will be brought up and all directors are urged to be present.
